Professional Background and Biography

Some questions stay with us throughout our lives, changing as they encounter new experiences, stories and voices.
Psychoanalysis is the way I have chosen to explore these questions.
For many years, my clinical work has involved listening to people seeking to understand what causes them suffering: a pain that resists words, a sense of shame, a desire that struggles to find expression, a persistent symptom. I have learned that every life follows its own singular path, and that the analyst’s role is not to provide answers, but to create the conditions in which each person can discover their own way forward.
My work is grounded in Lacanian psychoanalysis. I am a member of the Scuola Lacaniana di Psicoanalisi (SLP) and the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP). I practise in Turin, Albenga, Paris and online, and teach at IPOL, where I contribute to the training of psychotherapists.
Alongside my clinical practice, I pursue research and writing on the relationship between subjective experience and contemporary society, particularly questions of shame, the body, desire, identity, trauma, migration and social bonds.
For me, psychoanalysis is inseparable from culture and the challenges of our time. My books, articles, lectures and teaching are different expressions of the same ongoing inquiry.
This website brings together aspects of that work, as a space for reflection and dialogue with patients, students, colleagues and anyone interested in exploring the complexities of human experience.
